BINHI English Literacy Foundation, Inc. (BINHI) has recently received two recognitions that celebrate its commitment to keeping Filipino children in school and empowering their learning journeys.
Department of Education AppreciationOn February 20, 2024, BINHI was honored to receive a recognition from the Department of Education (DepEd) for having provided select public elementary schools a Science of Reading-aligned learning program that actively supports and complements the MATATAG curriculum. This show of appreciation is a testament to BINHI’s humble contributions to improving the quality of basic education in the Philippines. The management of BINHI is deeply grateful for this recognition and remains committed to working alongside DepEd in addressing the prevalent literacy problems in the country.
Currently, BINHI is supporting 18 public schools in Metro Manila and Calamba, Laguna, facilitating learning for 30 classes and 750 BINHI Scholars.

PEACE AwardBINHI is also the proud recipient of the esteemed Partner in Empowerment, Advocacy, and Commitment to Excellence for 2024, also known as PEACE Award by Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) last February 29, 2024. This prestigious award, presented every five years, recognizes organizations that collaborate effectively with MBFI in their mission of uplifting the lives of vulnerable communities in the Philippines. Receiving this award is a humbling testament to BINHI’s efforts and inspires us to continue making a positive impact.
