Our Mission

BINHI provides after-school English learning programs to public school children by conducting literacy interventions inspired by proven teaching methodologies, and training teachers and volunteers.

BINHI's Core Values are carried out and guided by

as many learners, schools, communities, donors, LGUs, volunteers and other NGOs as we can;

teachers, parents, schools, communities, donors, LGUs, and volunteers to help BINHI Scholars achieve their reading goals;

for Science of Reading-aligned reading practices equipping teachers with suitable resources and skills in teaching reading to early learners;

capacity-building programs for all stakeholders.

In 2008, a group of passionate and like-minded women came together with a shared vision to adapt India's successful Pratham program to the Philippine context, aiming to positively impact the future of Filipino children through education. The program centers on utilizing high-quality, cost-effective, and scalable intervention tools, employing bilingual methods to enhance the reading and comprehension abilities of the students.

Initially piloted by community mothers in BASECO, Tondo, the program has expanded significantly over the years. Presently, we collaborate with numerous DepEd public schools in Metro Manila and Calamba, Laguna, further extending our reach and impact on young learners' lives.
