The BINHI Buddy Volunteer Program is a one-on-one personalized tutoring method of learning where BINHI Scholars will be coached by a volunteer to help them overcome reading challenges. The program responds to the needs of the scholar by focusing on the reading skill where there is a difficulty. It aims to prepare the scholar for independent learning.
The significant progress was how committed both of us were in the program. We were willing to adjust our schedules, meet every weekend, deal with very poor internet connection, but still soldiered on because we were committed to what we were doing. It was worth it because Jhan Marie graduated 2nd Honorable Mention!
The pupil is able to read words properly and improve his phonemic awareness skills with little guidance.
