The BINHI Learning Program successfully concluded with the Post-test Activity conducted from March 3 to March 19, followed by the Culminating Activity from March 17 to March 26 across our nineteen partner sites. Throughout the program, BINHI Scholars demonstrated remarkable progress in their pre-reading and reading skills, as reflected in their post-test scores compared to their pre-test scores. The post-test activity would not have been possible without the unwavering commitment of our corporate partners who joined us: ICTSI Foundation, Inc., Light Rail Manila Corporation, and RATP Dev Manila Inc. (RATP), as well as the invaluable support of our dedicated volunteers from iVolunteer Philippines, theonehourproject, and Cognizant Philippines.
The Culminating Activity brought together BINHI Scholars and their parents, led by BINHI Teachers under the guidance of their BINHI Coordinators. The event was further graced by key school personnel, including superintendents, principals, and grade leaders, along with our esteemed sponsors from ICTSI Foundation, Inc., Jesus V. Del Rosario Foundation, Inc., Light Rail Manila Corporation, and RATP Dev Manila Inc. A key highlight of the event was the recognition of BINHI Scholars who successfully completed the program. To showcase their progress, scholars enthusiastically performed storybook reading, reader’s theater, and even rapping, demonstrating the skills they had developed throughout the program.
Exceptional scholars were further celebrated through the Outstanding Awards, which included Perfect Attendance, Best in Reading for Kits 1 and 2, and Pupil of the Year, awarded to the scholar with the highest improvement from pre-test to post-test. These recognitions stand as a testament to the effectiveness of the BINHI Learning Program and the collective dedication of students, teachers, and parents in nurturing literacy and learning. Following the awards, parents and teachers shared heartfelt testimonies about how the program has transformed the learning journey of BINHI Scholars. Their stories underscored the importance of guidance, perseverance, and support in helping young learners thrive—making every sacrifice worthwhile as they reap the benefits of sowing the seeds of literacy.
The Culminating Activity was more than just a celebration—it was a powerful reminder of the impact of literacy on young minds and the importance of continued collaboration between educators, parents, and partner organizations.
